Our value-driven strategy is applied in supporting our mission to become the preferred Student Accommodation provider in Africa. 2020 Has impelled our focus on empowerment, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Our sustainable asset management practices are implemented to ensure the necessary yield is provided to our funders and shareholders alike.
CGES is a privately owned entity and is not listed on the JSE. Old Mutual, through Futuregrowth, holds a strategic stake in our business and is a considerable funder of the group. Our diverse portfolio of services expands across Asset and Property Management, Integrated Services (Technical and Soft service provision), Technology Services, Value Added Services, and Financial Solutions.
As a service-centric business, our core strength lies in our Human Resource Assets. Empowerment is therefore a crucial facet of our business, and we believe in developing and evolving our people through structured learning in a diversified environment.
Our Group structure includes the creation and activation through mergers and acquisitions of like-minded, niche services companies which we believe are vital on the African continent. Through this strategy, we aim to create a shift in the vision and philosophy of empowerment and become the driver for change in Africa.
A FOCUS ON DIVERSIFIED, ALTERNATIVE REVENUE STREAMS.
At CGES, our unique structure, impelled by continuous constraints imposed by an organization-managed out-of-business rescue, as well as a constant lack of growth capital and associated support has been the driving factor behind our phenomenal growth trajectory in the 2019|2020 period.
We have taken ‘turning constraints into opportunities’ to heart, and created a successful, future-proof business, satisfying investors and customers alike.
We are blessed to have the ceaseless support of our Executive staff, who strive daily to drive their business through unchartered territory, reaching new heights continually.
In 2019, our altered mindset changed the development strategy of landscaping, where our focus shifted towards fostering and developing a diversified services business.
CGES is proof that constraints and challenges are not the final steps to a successful organization, they are only the beginning. CGES | Group Ecosystem Services continues to grow, taking on new opportunities and businesses, creating employment, and fostering a sense of empowerment and entrepreneurship.
OURTEAM
REDEWAAN ISAACS
GROUP CEO
With diverse years of experience in Executive Leadership positions ranging from operations management, team and business growth strategies, property, asset management, integrated facilities management, green industry, and tertiary education he is well versed in the integrated approach required in an evolving technology-enabled business environment.
“I have a responsibility influence on the entire CGES business to continue to develop us into a focused integrated technology enabled technical, facilities services and leading asset management champion.”
The messaging and resources of CGES have been reframed by expanding our technology experts in our IT business where they find solutions for operational and strategic challenges in business, which as we know remains liquid, i.e. clients always asking “Do I need all the resources and are these productive?” – in his view that is a common question and all service providers have the same subjective answer one way or another.
Our purpose is to provide the decision maker with the tools to objectively make as many strategic and operational informed factual decisions on resources. He also believes it is a swift gain for our clients who experience the progressive impact of the journey to a more innovative technology-enabled environment that yields positive environmental, social, and economic benefits. Compliance comes as a given with the technology-enabled model. Another example of our integrated technology-enabled services solution is our enterprise asset management software solutions and digital twin technology where we can exactly track which items in our clients’ assets require repairs, general services, and planned capex replacements. Service challenges and resources are managed as we are able to send the correct service resources to deal with the breakdowns, an example was one of our clients on a very large single property site 60% was for toilets and kitchen work areas – so the data-informed us who we must send, what was the problem and gave us insight into workmanship and quality of the specific failed products in question and we could take factual data-driven informed decisions that resulted in long term sustainable savings. Our technology-enabled ecosystem approach of delivering services from Asset procurement, Asset development, and sustainable maintenance, is how we differentiate ourselves.
He has a strong belief that when it comes to synergies, it is crucial that the business leaders and all their teams understand the technology-enabled integrated model and how they utilize technology to differentiate them in the industry. Software and Technology advancement does not mean creating less employment but rather learning and unlearning to utilize the optimization path within resources and deploying the best use of time. CGES is in a unique position as a leader in this business model and therefore we shape our future. A culture of collaboration, acceptance of technology, and the use of big data to assist in problem-solving is at the forefront of our vision. Collaborating with our clients is fundamental; together we aspire towards best practices to ultimately deliver the best service in synergy to both our clients and to their clients.
Contact us today to collaborate and together we bring your business vision and teams aligned to an integrated technology-enabled business environment.
